Trying to Find Peace in Pokhara
When your peace in nature is interrupted
I was really enjoying the tranquillity of Pokhara. In the morning we wandered up to the World Peace Pagoda, lovely in the sun on a hilltop overlooking the lake. It’s this little, white, Buddhist temple, and it’s so very cute. I felt so at peace, I could have sat up there all day. I certainly did not feel like going back to noisy Kathmandu.
We rented a row boat at Phewa lake and spent the afternoon tiring ourselves out before docking it on a small sandy bay to stop for lunch.
We sat looking at this view of the freshwater lake, with a glimpse of the icy Mountain tops of the Annapurna circuit peaking out behind the green hills. We relaxed in solitude and silence, drinking it all in.
We were rudely interrupted by a GIANT FART! The loudest fart I’ve ever heard. How rude! Who did that? I spun around and looked at my partner. He looked back at me…
